Following is a statement from the league regarding the 2020 junior fixture, which will go ahead as a nine-week home and away season.
After feedback from clubs and consideration from the CHFL Board members it has been decided the 2020 junior season will commence on Saturday 11th July and conclude on Saturday 19th September.
This timeline gives the opportunity for families who wish to holiday in September to do so without the last two weekends being encroached upon by fixturing finals dates on any weekend during September other than the first day of those holidays, it was also deemed that during July in a normal season clubs play right through that month regardless of school holidays.
Match start times will be as follows.
As advised by AFL Victoria, change rooms must be cleaned after each grade of football.
The league will supply posters for outside change rooms to advise that only players and officials are allowed to enter and a generic printout will be issued to everyone who attends your ground to advise that spectators are not allowed on the ground at any stage, not allowed in the change rooms at any stage and that safe distancing is vital.
For safe distancing at the canteen and public toilet facility please ensure you have tape on the ground to mark out the 1.5-metre queue line.
Each club will have a Covid19 safety officer on game days.
The league has committed to supporting the BFUA this season as they have lost all senior competition matches, clubs are encouraged to book umpires for the U15/U18 grades which will be charged at a reduced rate, this will be advised this week at some stage. The BFUA are looking to have their younger umpires mentored by an experienced umpire so central umpire appointments will all include two umpires. Bookings will need to be supplied by Tuesday of each week.
Due to not having a full complement of teams the entry cost to spectators will be a donation not limited to a gold coin but whatever people wish to donate.
Full fixture to follow.
